Professor Rex Butler, Monash University Design Art and Architecture, will officially launch the four publications in the SCA Galleries on Wednesday 3 June 2015.

Sydney College of the Arts invites you to celebrate the outstanding research in contemporary art history and theory and creative arts pedagogy produced by the University of Sydney through the publication of four new books.

Camouflage Cultures: Beyond the Art of Disappearance (Sydney: Sydney University Press, 2015), edited by SCA academics Associate Professor Ann Elias and Nicholas Tsoutas and UNSW Art and Design Dean Professor Ross Harley.

Fashionable Art (London: Bloomsbury, 2015), co-authored by SCA academics Adam Geczy and Jacqueline Millner.

Useless Beauty: Flowers and Australian Art (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2015), by Ann Elias.

Doctoral Writing in the Creative and Performing Arts (Oxfordshire: Libri Publishing, 2014), co-edited by Sydney University academic Professor Brian Paltridge together with UNSW colleagues Louise Ravelli and Sue Starfield.

The substantial scholarship these publications represent is testament to the dynamic research culture at SCA, and Sydney University's leading role in championing excellence in creative arts and contemporary art research.
