Project: The Technopia Tours Feminist Art Bus, IWD 2014

Technopia Tours, a curatorial initiative of Kim Donaldson, uses the notion of tourism to create new and unexpected realities as it negotiates with place and people through a performative, embodied paradigm.

For IWD 2014, The f Word commissioned Technopia Tours for a special joint workshop-on-wheels event, The Technopia Tours Feminist Art Bus.

Journeying through the CBD and over the West Gate bridge to Melbourne's West, the bus load of artists and art lovers enjoyed feminist talks and performances whilst onboard, with further adventures at key stops en route, at feminist public art works and locations, including Technopark Studios in Williamstown.

Special guest speakers and performers: Laura Castagnini, Ebony Gulliver, Susan Hewitt, Kate Just, Dot Kett, Lyndal Jones, Vicki Kinai, Penelope Lee, Justine Makdessi, Elvis Richardson, Kate Robertson, Nat Thomas, Kalinda Vary, Inez de Vega.
